Dealing With Grade Drops
Let’s face it here: it’s something that everyone deals with and can be the reason of extreme stress. Here are some ways to ease the stress and to relax to get back to studying!
1. After freaking out/panicking, STOP PANICKING.
Calm down. Not only will panicking cause more stress during work, it can also cause your grade to drop even more (personal experience here, it’s the worst). Just because there’s a grade drop, doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. You can always raise it. (that’s why we have things like credit recovery and extra credit)
2. Find out what caused your grade dropped.
If it was missing work, turn it in. If it was because of a bad test score, find out what you got wrong and write it down.
3. Go online for practice/find ways to help study
For me, Khan Academy is a great way to get some extra practice. You can also try to contact your professor or teacher and ask them for anything that was similar to the lesson or lecture.
Using Tumblr (or any other kind of organization blog) can be a great way of motivation to study and to do better in school. In fact, when I post on this studyblr, I actually do better in school.
4. And if all else fails…
You will be fine. A POSITIVE ATTITUDE IS A SPECIAL KEY TO MOTIVATION, WHICH LEADS TO GRADE BOOSTS.
